Robert L Treft, MD, FACS founded Mountain View Eye Center. After a successful and fulfilling 35 year career in ophthalmology, Dr. Treft retired in 2020. As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Treft improved the vision of a countless number of patients by providing excellent care with cataract surgery, intravitreal injections, LASIK, PRK, and other laser procedures.
More about Dr. Treft
Dr. Treft opened his own private practice in Layton, Utah in 1985, which later became Mountain View Eye Center. He was one of the first physicians in Utah certified to perform LASIK and PRK. Since his retirement at the end of 2020, he continues to give back to the medical community through research, volunteer, and advocacy work.
While ophthalmology was a passion of Dr. Treft’s, he now enjoys unlimited “free time” to spend with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He has loved spending more time skiing, swimming, as well as exploring new hobbies.
We continue to honor his legacy by striving for excellence in the care of our patients.
