Clinical studies help researchers find new ways to prevent, treat, and test for eye diseases. The results can be in new medicines, new surgeries or procedures, new therapies, or lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise.
Our doctors participate in several clinical studies throughout the year, some of which include conditions such as blepharitis, dry eyes, presbyopia, and more. It’s our way of staying at the forefront of new discoveries, treatments, and technology in eye care.
While the details of each study vary based on the criteria set forth by the sponsoring pharmaceutical company, all patients in all studies receive free exams, free medication during the study, and are compensated well for their time. We work with Alpine Research for clinical research trials. If you are interested in their current or future studies, contact their ophthalmic study coordinator at (801) 803-6413.
