Allegretto Laser

The Allegretto Excimer laser is a flying spot, or Gaussian spot laser, which is 0.95 microns thick. This laser ablates corneal tissue, which alters the shape of the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism.

The benefits of the Allegretto Laser include:

  • More customized LASIK treatment without the need of a wavescan
  • Quicker healing time which leads to less halos/glare after surgery
  • Keeps the cornea at a more natural shape than with an VisX laser
